Lab Research Assistant

Clemson University

I joined Clemson University in 2025 as Lab Research Assistant in the Department of Automotive Engineering. I have B.S. in Mechanical Sciences from the University of Rouen (France) and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the UTBM (France).

My research is primarily in the field of advanced materials and eco-design, particularly in the areas of composite waste reutilization and hybrid manufacturing processes. I develop innovative bonding solutions between thermoset and thermoplastic materials through surface treatments and overmolding techniques. My work integrates numerical simulations, experimental testing, and interface characterization to optimize mechanical performance and recyclability. In parallel, I explore the use of non-crimp fabrics (NCF) in complex geometries to improve the de-threading process of carbon bicycle frames. My research ultimately aims to promote sustainable solutions for high-performance composite structures and contribute to circular economy strategies.

I have gained professional experience alongside my academic work. As an industrial designer, I was responsible for designing tooling and assembly fixtures for aircraft landing gear systems. Later, I worked as a production engineer at Time Bicycles in Slovakia, where I was involved in the manufacturing of high-performance carbon fiber bicycle frames. These experiences strengthened my skills in mechanical design, production process optimization, and composite material applications in both aerospace and sporting goods industries.
